Fans of binge-worthy series are divided over which show on Netflix is the best, although there's a clear winner.
When it comes to recommending TV series, we usually go with advising others to watch something that we're currently watching ourselves - probably just so we'd be able to talk to friends, family or co-workers about it.
With movies, I tend to recommend some of my all-time classics, or anything Quentin Tarantino, but when it comes to television it's apparently much simpler than that.

Taking to the Facebook group Netflix Bangers, one user asked: "Best series to watch please."
It received more than 80 comments, and surprisingly Breaking Bad was nowhere to be seen - despite being ranked as the best show in TV history, according to IMDb users, with the hit show boasting an almost impeccable score of 9.5 out of 10.
Instead, series that have recently came out were favoured by Netflix fans, and I've took the most suggested series and ranked them by accordance of IMDb score.
So without further ado, let's get into them.
5. Fool Me Once
For those who don't know, Netflix's Fool Me Once is based on the mystery thriller of the same name by Harlan Coben, and was released on the streaming platform on January 1, 2024.

Starring Michelle Keegan, Adeel Akhtar, Joanna Lumley and Richard Armitage, it follows the mystery that unfolds following the sudden death of Joe Burkett (Armitage).
Burkett's wife Maya Stern (Keegan) is mourning his death when she sees him on a nanny cam with their child.
Cue plentiful twists and turns as Maya tries to work out what the hell is going on.
It landed a respectable score of 6.8 out of 10 on IMDb.
4. Sirens

Like Fool Me Once, Sirens also scored 6.8 out of 10 on the movie database.
The series follows Devon DeWitt (Meghann Fahy), a working-class woman recently released from jail, who travels to a luxurious coastal estate to reconnect with her estranged sister, Simone (Milly Alcock).
Simone has become the personal assistant to Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore), a charismatic and manipulative billionaire socialite.
The mini-series - which dropped on Netflix on May 22 - unfolds over Labor Day weekend as Devon attempts to pull Simone away from Michaela's influence in a truly unpredictable tale.

The dark comedy has got everyone on the internet talking, particularly because of its divisive ending.
3. You
The hit Netflix psychological thriller first graced our screens back in 2018, with the fifth and final series having dropped on Netflix in April.
You left fans gripped by the serial killer Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley.

“Every season they manage to find new space to make it interesting and relevant,” Badgley told Tudum.
"And this season, I think somehow coming back to where it started allowed for it to just become grounded in the way that it needs to also have this kind of spectacular finish."
The hit show unsurprisingly received a tasteful 7.7 on IMDb.
2. The Fall
The Fall stars Fifty Shades of Grey actor Jamie Dornan as the main protagonist, and The X Files' Gillian Anderson as a hard-working detective from England.

Serial killer Paul Spector (Dornan) is at large in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson (Anderson) is charged with tracking him down.
The cat-and-mouse psychological thriller landed a huge 8.1 out of 10 on IMDb, and if you've watched it yourself you'll understand why.
1. Dept. Q
Finally, the most popular show on Netflix right now has to be Dept. Q, and is the next big thing from Scott Frank - the creator of The Queen’s Gambit.
The series focuses on a cold case department being set up within a Scottish police force.

A remake of a Danish book series, it stars the likes of Matthew Goode, Chloe Pirrie, Alexej Manvelov, Leah Byrne, and Kate Dickie.
It was only rolled out worldwide on Thursday (May 29), but already has a monster score of 8.3 on IMDb.
